David Grainger, DipABRSM

Biography

David Grainger has been playing guitar for more than twenty-five years. Originally studying with Huddersfield-based guitar teacher Nicky Wright, David has studied with Rory Russell of the Aquarelle Quartet, Tom McKinney, Martin Bickerton, and Peter Batchelar. He holds a Licentiate in Music Performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schoools of Music (equivalent to degree-level in performance). David has been a professional classical guitar teacher in the Horsforth area since 2011, in which time he has guided numerous pupils to success in graded examinations, and helped students of all ages enjoy playing the guitar. He has given numerous performances as a soloist, in ensemble with the West Yorkshire Classical Guitar Society, and with Amy Bowles as part of the Grainger-Bowles Guitar Duo
